Adventure 6

-Begins at the refugee camp, which is in panic as the Empire marches towards them from the city.

-Skilgore issues orders and instructs the refugees into building the barricades.

- Village elder approaches with young boy Abihl who gifts Fiona with a carved wooden amulet of guidance

-Healers approach snuff and tell him inglor is too wounded to travel, but Theo feels he is okay enough to continue.

-Skilgore and theo look for Gerod who is nowhere to be found.

-Fiona and Skilgore lift Inglor on the stretcher and carry him into the cave as the healers move the sick and wounded.

-the rest of the camp is tightly packed into the cave, locking down the barricades as best they can.

- Theo tracks gattarns footprints downwards to an intersection of paths, and Snuff follows Gattarns scent down the path leading deeper

-travel for a while, reach area composed of wooden bridge over water churning with movement

-snuff goes out onto the bridge to test it, a few pieces break off. He creeps onto the other side, and a swarm of bat clouds around him. He flails and falls off the bridge into the water, where a crocodile latches onto him.

-Skilgore runs toward the water, but is set upon by dire bats, one gashes both his arms, the other swoops too slowly and he hacks it in the side, he flutters downwards

-Fiona shoots the first bat

-Theo blasts it thrice with lightning, obliterating it

-Skilgore leaps down onto the croc, lodging his axe in its back, it lets go of snuff, and tries to throw off Skilgore

-snuff swims to the side, is set upon by the remaining dire bat.

-Fiona shoots and misses, Theo blasts it with lightning twice, killing it and exploding it onto snuff

-Crocodile dives under water and grinds against the cave wall, dislodging skilgore after he stabs it in the face

- Theo leaps down onto the crocodile, stabbing it through the skull, killing it

-All regroup on the other side as Fiona tracks the footprints

-Grumpy snuff tosses a bomb at the bottom of the stone platforms, nearly destroying them all, and also destroying the tracks

-The group proceeds onwards, to another crossroads, where there are dead crocodiles. Losing the sand and coming to stone, Snuff follows Gattarn’s scent. Reach an area where water flows across their path, into an alcove.

-debate over how to proceed, fiona sees movement

-Skilgore goes in, finds some palmfrond, also sees a skeletal hand, which moves, nopes out of there

-Others are flippant, proceed onwards, reach another crossroads, where fiona deduces their was some kind of cave in here long ago.

-Theo looks at the prints on the floor, says it looks like someone has been dancing, where there are small chips of bone. Skilgore realises they were fighting

-She goes through into the crevice, where she spots some cloth dangling from some rocks above, it moves when skilgore speaks to her in there.

-She takes a piece of the cloth, and a skeleton bursts halfway from above swiping at her, she holds it in place with her sword, and a black stone falls out

-She slowly creeps back out of the crevice, and shows Theo, who recognizes it as a Scrying Stone.

-Skilgore and Snuff recognise the cloth as belonging to ancient karkaanian royal soldiers

-They use the stone to see Gattarn… he is wounded on a sea of bones, with an altar in the distance

-They proceed down the path, where they find some broken skeletons

-They descend further down through a smooth tunnel, with some carved steps, that are centuries old. And it opens out into a massive expansive cavern, a sea of bones.

-Skeletons rise from the masses, and threatenly advance on the adventurers
